On June 6, 2025, our center’s team, led by Professor Tuyen Ngoc Le from the Department of Electronic Engineering, along with several graduate students, participated in the Creative Project Competition and Exhibition at the 20th Formosa Plastics Group Applied Technology Conference.

The team's research focuses on defect inspection of optical lenses using image-based methods. Due to the reflective and refractive properties of optical lenses, capturing clear images for subsequent defect detection has long posed a challenge for researchers. Professor Le’s team addressed this issue by applying mathematical tools such as wavelet transformation to enhance lens images, followed by AI-based model training techniques to enable automatic defect identification.
