2026_03 KAIST Vice President Visits the University, Partnering with Our Center to Deepen International Collaboration

 

Students Fan Cheng-Chung and Nguyen Van-Minh from our center and the master’s program in the Department of Mechanical Engineering took the opportunity of KAIST Vice President Prof. Kim Kyung Soo’s visit to personally express their intention to apply for the Ph.D. program in Mechanical Engineering at KAIST, accompanied by Prof. Li Yu-Hsien from the Department of Electrical Engineering, a member of our center team.

 

Among them, student Fan Cheng-Chung is expected to begin in September 2026 under the supervision of Prof. Yong-Hwa Park of KAIST’s Department of Mechanical Engineering, focusing on research related to rotor dynamics. Meanwhile, student Nguyen Van-Minh plans to apply for the KAIST Ph.D. program in 2027 and study under Vice President Prof. Kim Kyung Soo, working on topics related to battery thermal management. Notably, both Prof. Kim Kyung Soo and Prof. Yong-Hwa Park also serve as jointly appointed professors at our university.

 

Looking ahead, the Reliability Engineering Research Center is poised to embark on a new chapter of research collaboration with the internationally renowned KAIST in South Korea.
